Better tights are a company that are getting a lot of things right. They promote body positivity and use real women in their marketing shoots, they are passionate about sustainability and best of all they have ditched the one size fits all approach, which is an absolute blessing. Their products are also surprisingly well made and promise to last a while due to a technique called 3D knitting (I don’t pretend to know exactly what this is but apparently it means your tights keep their shape and won’t ladder the first time you put them on). This is all great, and while all of these factors were a huge draw for me, I still want to be able to look stylish while saving the planet and feeling comfortable, so while we’ve established that Better are killing it when it comes to ethics, how are they doing when it comes to style?

We all need our classics, our staple tans and blacks for work and more formal occasions, and while all of these are available Better also has you covered if you want to go for something a bit more interesting. I was a punk back in the day so I was delighted to find a crazy pair of blue and pink leopard print tights on the site (pictured). Apparently this design is part of a collaboration with Molke, who make bras and underwear and have a similar body positive ethos. The colours in this design are very bold and the pattern is large so it really stands out. But if leopard print isn’t your thing there’s loads more patterns to choose from in the ‘fashion tights’ category of the website. From simple polka dots to pretty floral designs and classic stripes there’s something from everyone. These eye catching designs are sure to set off any outfit and make sure you stand out, whatever you are doing. 

Better’s 50 and 80 denier opaque tights also come in huge variety of colours so you’ll have no trouble expressing yourself with these stylish, brightly coloured tights. From bold, vibrant hues to playful pastels, they are more than just an accessory—they're a statement. A particular favourite of mine is a violet pair I have (pictured). The colour is very rich and eye catching and has a really lovely shimmer to it, and of course you’re getting that perfect fit and unbelievable comfort that Better provides.

One size does not fit all!

by Raven Taylor If you google ‘Better Tights’ the first thing that jumps out is this tagline- ‘one size does not fit all’- and that’s what first drew me in. I’m a fan of tights, always have been, I wore them every day during my time working in a busy retail environment, but my experience of this particular item of clothing was never smooth. On a good day I might just have to put up with my tights bunching round the ankles (I’m a relatively short person and every pair of tights I owned seemed to be made for people with long legs) or that uncomfortable feeling of the waist band digging in.
