Can fleece tights really be stylish?

What is the first thing you think of when someone mentions fleece lined tights? Perhaps they remind you of those thick knitted articles your mum made you wear to school in the winter, or heavy, thick unsightly things that only come in a choice of black or black. Despite this you’ll probably agree that a pair of thick cosy tights is a must as we enter the colder months, but perhaps you reserve them for walking the dog or for a lazy day around the house. What if I told you that you don’t have to choose between warm and looking stylish? Well you don’t!

These days fleece lined tights come in a whole variety of styles so your bound to be able to find a pair that will see you through any occasion this Autumn and winter. Maybe, like me, you don’t actually want to look like you’re wearing a pair of winter tights. If you like the look of say, a 50 Denier, you can still achieve that with a pair of fleece tights. There are a number of brands out there who manufacture black tights which have a tan coloured fleece lining so when you pull them on, as if by magic, they give the illusion of looking like there’s that little bit of flesh shining through. They look just like regular tights and no one will ever know that you are actually toasty warm. All the benefits of a fluffy comfy winter warmer without compromising your style. This style of warm tights will compliment any outfit from the casual to the office, if you happen to work in a particular cold workplace or have a very chilly commute!


What if you’re in the mood for something a bit more glam? You might be going Christmas shopping and for a girls lunch in town and and had your eye on your favourite festive dress. Don’t worry, you can still wear your fleece lined tights and fight off the cold. Coture do a lovely variety of colours and patterns in their winter tights range including a shiny grey pair. These have just enough sparkle through them to give a very festive feel and would go perfectly with any party dress. So as the nights draw in and the leaves start to fall from the trees this year, don’t worry, you won’t have to sacrifice your image if you want to stay warm. Fleece-lined tights offer the perfect balance of warmth and style, making them an essential wardrobe staple for colder months. Staying cosy doesn't have to mean compromising style!
